Any appointment with Furbubble can be rescheduled anytime before 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time without a fee. After the 48-hour mark, cancellation fees will apply. Furbubble generally tries to send text messages alerting you that your appointment is coming up so that you can respond in case you need to cancel.
What is your cancellation policy?
Furbubble requires a 48-hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment time. Should you cancel one of our services after the 48-hour window, you will still incur the full cost of the chosen grooming service.
What type of payments do you accept?
Furbubble accepts all major debit and credit cards, cash and checks.
Can I watch my dog being groomed?
While we can understand your interest in watching your dog being groomed, Furbubble will not allow owners or anybody, except our groomers inside the van during the appointment. This is only done for the safety of your beloved pet as we want to mitigate any distractions that can potentially harm your best friend!
Is there a size limit for dogs?
While Furbubble currently accepts most pet sizes, with any dogs over 100 lbs we will want to learn more and understand what is needed and some history before we are able accept.
What if my dog is aggressive?
If your pet is aggressive, we kindly ask that you inform us ahead of time so our groomer can be prepared that your four-legged friend needs a little bit of special attention. Please take note that dogs that are overly aggressive hindering the grooming process may be subject to additional fees and/or refusal of service. Please review Furbubble’s service agreement about aggressive dogs.
What if my dog needs special handling?
Our groomers at Furbubble are very experienced in handling all types of dogs, including any special needs. Mobile is particularly well set up to handle older dogs or dogs that are nervous, have mobility issues and don’t appreciate sitting in crates in a salon before and after an appointment. The service is one-on-one with no other dogs around and so really a special situation for pets. It’s important to let us know during the booking of your appointment if your dog has any special needs. Your Furbubble groomer can also assess your dog at the time of grooming and advise if any additional special handling costs may apply. Per our service agreement if the dog is overly aggressive or is very anxious and stressed, and it prevents the groom from happening, the groomer will return the dog and there will be a charge for the visit.
How long does the appointment take?
Furbubble’s mobile grooming appointments will take about 1 - 2 hours, depending on size of pet, fur quality, service requested and behavior of your dog.
How can I tip my groomer?
While gratuities are in no way required, we love when our clients show their special groomers their appreciation. Gratuities can be conveniently added to all credit card transactions or given in cash after the appointment.
How Often Should A Dog Get Groomed?
Short answer “about once a month.” That said, it will of course depend on what type of dog you have and the type of coat your dog has. At Furbubble, we typically recommend dogs with long thick fur to be groomed every 4-6 weeks, while dogs with short or fine hair may only need to go every 8-12 weeks. Grooming is more about pet health than cosmetics. The regular grooming will prevent mats and problems with fur and will prevent bacteria and other issues from developing. Regular nail trimming is required to have the quick recede and ear cleaning is critical to reduce ear infection issues.
What Is Basic Dog Grooming?
Brush, bath and blow dry, trim nails and clean ears. At Furbubble, this is what we call a “Full-service Bath Package”. If your dog also needs a haircut, then pick the “Full-service bath & haircut package”. Both service packages and prices are listed on our website. Just click “book an appointment” and scroll down.
Should You Brush A Dog Dry Or Wet?
Furbubble recommends brushing when dry to avoid tangling and damaging the fur.
How Much Do Most Dog Groomers Charge?
It depends. Most groomers charge based on your dogs size, breed, condition of fur and time it will take to finish the service. All Furbubble prices are listed on our website. Just click “book an appointment” and scroll down to see services and add-ons, and prices based on size/breed. Furbubble will be happy to provide a “ruff estimate” if you give us a call.
Why is mobile grooming more expensive than salons?
Mobile grooming, in some cases, is a bit more expensive than self-wash and salons. Mobile grooming is a premium service as we bring the spa right to your doorstep. This is very convenient for the pet parent, but more importantly, a much better experience for the pet as it is less stressful and 100% one-on-one attention with the groomer. Salons will typically work on several dogs at the same time. They put dogs in cages before the appt starts and also to dry, which can be quite stressful for the dogs, especially with all the other dogs around. After the appt, the dog usually is required to sit in a crate and wait for the parents to pick them up. A lot of pet parents are happy to pay a higher grooming price to ensure that their dog is as comfortable as possible while being groomed. Another big benefit of the mobile service is that you minimize exposure to the K9 virus as well as other viruses and diseases passed by unknown dogs that are out there.
Is A Dog Grooming Worth It?
Absolutely! Regular grooming is essential to the overall health of your dog. Dogs who see a groomer regularly are less likely to experience skin diseases and poor skin health, have healthy nails, and have a coat that doesn’t become matted and tangled as much. They will also shed less, depending on the type of dog. Groomers are also trained to recognize signs and symptoms of skin issues before they get out of hand. The groomers at Furbubble regularly identify issues for owners with their dog’s skin that they had not been aware of and also give helpful tips to keep your fur baby and it’s fur and health in top condition.
Should We Get Our Dog Groomed Professionally?
Apart from saving you time and energy, professional grooming is more detailed, and it helps keep the dog healthy. Every dog has unique needs, and groomers develop a suitable program for each dog. Furbubble’s groomers will be diligent in learning about your dog’s unique grooming needs and recommend a grooming routine that will work best for your dog.
How Do Groomers Get Your Dog So Clean?
A professional groomer will use professional equipment and products which will translate into your dog being much cleaner compared to you giving your dog a bath at home. Furbubble’s vans are equipped with a pet bathtub, hydraulic grooming tables, high velocity dryer and a variety of pet products to fit any dog’s needs. In addition, groomers do this daily and have developed techniques that allow them to get to a very detailed level of clean that regular pet parents aren’t aware of.
What Haircut Is Best For My Dog?
Prior to your grooming appointment, your Furbubble groomer will consult with you regarding the best haircut for your dog. When choosing a haircut for your dog, you can consider things like your dog's coat type, breed, and comfort. Some popular dog haircuts include:
Kennel cut: A short, all-over cut that's easy to maintain and can last longer than other cuts. This cut is suitable for almost any breed and is popular with busy owners.
Comfort cut: Face, feet, fanny light trim. This cut is suitable for senior dogs.
Puppy cut: A basic trim that works well with all breeds and is easy for dogs to adjust to.
Teddy bear cut: Keeps more hair around the face and is popular with small breeds that have curly hair.
Top knot: Keeps long hair off the eyes and is suitable for long-haired dogs.
Lion cut: Can make a long-haired dog look like a lion's mane.
Poodle cut: Keeps short fur on the body and more fur on the head, neck, and tail.
Lamb cut: Involves cutting shorter hair around the torso and trimming the hair around the chin. This cut can work well with curly fur and can keep a dog's legs warm in colder weather.
Princess cut: Leaves hair to the ground to form a skirt or dress, and can be left fluffier for a more elegant look.
Should Dogs Get Their Haircut?
Yes. Clipping is important to prevent and remove any matts in the hair coat, if these are likely to occur. Clipping will also remove hair from dogs who do not shed their hair (e.g., Poodles, Maltese Terriers, Schnauzers) and help prevent your dog getting heat stress in hot weather. Your Furbubble groomer will consult with you before your appointment to help you decide on best cut for your dog. It is also important as part of the sanitary trim to keep hair out of sensitive areas to prevent collection of feces and urine and prevent problems down the road.

How Do You Cut A Dog's Nails?
Trimming your dog's nails is an important part of their grooming routine and can help prevent pain and damage. It is best to let a professional groomer, or veterinarian, cut your dog’s nails to avoid cutting into the quick and harming your dog. Furbubble offers nail trims as part of our standard bath package. Furbubble also offers nail grinding, which is a preferred method for overgrown nails. The only way to keep nails at the correct length is with a regular schedule of grooming and trimming and helps prevent orthopedic issues for your pet down the road.
Is It Necessary To Cut A Dog's Nails?
Yes. Trimming dogs' nails is very important for more reasons than just avoiding the annoying clicking on the floor. When your pup is young, overgrown nails can lead to broken nails, especially in a drier climate. With mature dogs, untrimmed nails can cause decreased traction, affect mobility, and even cause orthopedic issues and pain. Furbubble offers nail trims as part of our standard bath package. Should I Have My Dog's Ears Cleaned?
Yes. A dog’s ear canal is deeper, curvier, and more twisted than our own, making it a perfect hiding place for parasites, yeast, and mites. Trapped debris can result in infections and the development of masses in the ear. Regular ear cleaning by your Furbubble groomer will help prevent common ear problems such as infections, wax buildup, and unpleasant odors. Furbubble includes ear cleaning as part of our standard packages.

Are You Supposed To Brush Your Dog's Teeth?
Yes, brushing your dog's teeth regularly can help prevent dental disease, bad breath, and improve their overall health and quality of life. It's recommended to brush your dog's teeth at least twice a day, or three times a week at minimum. If you go too long between brushings, you may need to take your dog to the vet to have their teeth removed. Furbubble offers teeth brushing as an add-on service.
What Do Vets Recommend For Brushing A Dog's Teeth?
Veterinarians recommend brushing your dog's teeth daily or multiple times a week to prevent dental disease and keep your dog healthy. Brushing is the most effective way to remove plaque from teeth, which can lead to infection, loose teeth, and painful falling out. The bacteria from dental disease can also spread to other organs, especially the heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver. Furbubble’s groomers will always recommend including a tooth brushing as part of your grooming routine.
Can I Use Human Toothpaste To Clean My Dog's Teeth?

Can I Use Human Shampoo On My Dog?
No, this is not recommended. Using human shampoo on your dog can disrupt their skin's pH balance, which can lead to irritation, dryness, and flakiness. This can also make your dog's skin more vulnerable to parasites, bacteria, and viruses. In addition, human shampoo can strip away the protective oils from your dog's coat. Furbubble only uses high-quality, professional rated pet shampoo.

If your dog is severely matted, Furbubble’s groomers are likely to recommend shaving it down, either all over or in spots where the matting is present. Furbubble’s groomers use clippers with safe blades and different attachment sizes to carefully remove small sections of the mat as close to the skin as possible. This method can leave a bare patch in the dog's fur. If you don’t want a bare patch on your dog’s fur, or if the matting is widespread (also known as pelted), the groomer may need to do a close to the skin shave all over the dog's entire body.
